Details

This large hole receiver pivot pin is designed for quick and easy removal. This pin is .315 in diameter and fits the AR-15 and M-16. The pin material is steel with a black oxide finish. This pivot pin has a spring loaded push button. When pushed, the stainless steel keeper pins retract for easy pin removal. The pin is designed to eliminate wear in and around the hole caused by pins with spring loaded balls. The button also has a drilled cross hole which allows for the installation of a seal wire to prevent tampering with the guns internals.This pivot pin does not require the pivot pin detent and spring for installation or removal.

Great for Colt SP1

All Colt SP1s and some Colt AR15A2s and HBars used .315 pivot pins that took two screw drivers on each side to remove pin. I have a stripped SP1 upper that I bought at a gun show in the late 70s that I just completed. Now my SP1 has two complete uppers. The original 20 inch 1-12 twist and a clone matching 20 inch 1-7 twist for 62 grain and heavier bullets. I bought the KNS .315 dia. pivot pin for swapping the uppers at the range and it works GREAT! Even if you do not have multiple uppers to swap this KNS pin will make cleaning your big dia. pivot pin AR much easier.

.250 vs .315

Unless you are planning on drilling your AR 15 pin holes out for this larger pin then it's not for the ar15 platform. And it is long enough for the front pin hole . The back pin is a little long but works.
