The L3Harris Next Generation Aiming Laser, or NGAL, is a lightweight, compact laser system designed to be compatible with a wide variety of night-vision devices (NVD). At 3.6” in length, 2” in width, and 1.25” in height, the NGAL has a comparable footprint to a common credit card, reducing required rail space on rifle platforms. Ultra-light, the NGAL weighs less than 5 oz. — the same as a handful of 5.56mm ammunition.

IR Illuminator- 

• Safety: 3R (low) / 3B (high) - Output:  2.7mW (low) / 90mW (high)

An improved IR illuminator design increases situational awareness by enhancing the uniformity of the near-infrared (NIR) beam. 

The NGAL uses co-aligned visible and infrared (IR) lasers and an IR illuminator. By using highly efficient electronics, L3Harris has minimized the weight and size requirements of the NGAL, ensuring increased performance and reduced bulk. 

Powered by one DL123 or AA battery, the NGAL can remain functional for 3.5 hours in dual-high mode. As the Next Generation Aiming Laser is tan, it should blend into desert-like conditions easily.
