The Storage/Type Restricted Stock is a drop-in replacement buttstock for AR-15/M4 carbines using MIL-SPEC receiver extensions. The STR features an improved cheek weld and a compact, reinforced polymer A-frame design. Two water resistant battery tubes each store (2) CR123A lithium or (2) AA batteries.
A shielded operation lever and friction locking system prevent accidental operation and minimize excessive stock movement for enhanced weapon stability and accuracy. The STR incorporates two sling loops, a reversible push-button QD sling mount, and a replaceable 0.30" thick rubber butt-pad which provides positive shoulder purchase to prevent slippage even with body armor or modular gear.
NOTE: Friction lock performance may vary depending on the host receiver extension dimensional tolerances.

Just what I needed!

Bought this as part of an AR build I was working on. I can always count on MAGPUL to make a solid product and Primary Arms to get it to me in a timely manner.
Great Stock

I bought this as a replacement for a black B5 stock (which I also recommend) because I wanted an OD green stock with a QD sling swivel hole. Unfortunately, the ACS/light with the little compartment in addition to the battery tubes doesn't have that pushbutton sling swivel hole. As with all Magpul prodcts it's a good quality product made in the USA. Installation could have been a bit easier, as it doesn't install like the other two 6-position stocks I have. Instead of just pulling down on the release you have to depress a recessed pin. No biggie, it just took me a little more effort and time. Overall it's a solid product.

Let me start by saying the team at PA is awesome!! I order this with a rail, some mags, ladders, and shirt on a Friday. Within 2 hours, the oder was packed, tracking info emailed, and ready for shipment. It delivered to me on Tuesday. Fast, efficient, service. The STR stock was for a second build. I already have an ACS-L. Frankly, i didn't use the in stock storage door, but liked the cheek weld and other features. I still like, and use the side storage tubes on the STR for small pats and batteries. The STR fits this bill and checks out less than $100. Easy to install, and adjust. When you lock it in the extra play tightens up for a firm strong mount. Thanks Again P.A.!!!!!
