The Mission First Tactical 3-Prong Ported Muzzle Brake is engineered to direct combustion gases first through four top and two side ports for reduced recoil. In addition to the recoil mitigation performed by the ports, the MFT brake takes things a step further by redirecting gas using the front three prongs sending the remaining gas and concussion forward, away from the shooter.

Good brake all around, hands-down best for the price

by -

Grabbed this one during the 4th of July sale, best money I've ever spent on a rifle part. Installation was as simple as you'd think it should be, and the included crush washer was a nice touch. It effectively eliminates most recoil and muzzle rise (though labeled as a brake, there are four ports on the top to combat rise). If you're looking to upgrade from the A2, or just don't want to drop some ungodly sum on a brake, this is the way to go. Failure drills and the like become a breeze. The only caveat: you will not make any friends by bringing this to an indoor range. Outdoors, it wasn't particularly loud or gassy.

Nice muzzle brake for the money!

I threw this on my ballistic advantage barrel. I want a good muzzle brake but did not want to spend $40 or $50. I got it on sale for $20, for $30 it’s still very worth it. I took a risk on this, and I’m glad I did, it looks great, is machined well. Color is consistent, and there were no burrs or sharp edges.

I fired this next to an a2 birdcage and two other random brakes, this one had the least recoil. Definitely a good value! You won’t regret it!

Good Brake

Really good brake. Timed perfect on the first attempt. I could actually tell the difference in recoil and muzzle rise.

Great brake for the money!

Very nice brake for the money. Stainless with nitride finish. Mispec crush washer, not super thin and cheap like some. Definitely reduces recoil and muzzle rise. Will throw fireballs to the sides when rapid firing so you probably won't make friends at the range. Would buy again!
