If you pick up most AR platform rifles and give them a bit of a shake, you’ll probably realize that there’s a little rattling going on. This rattling is the result of play between the upper and lower receivers. This comes from slight differences in manufacturing, as well as play around the takedown pins. If you’re using a New Frontier Armory C-4, C-9, or C-45 lower, you can dial in that fit and get rid of that rattling with this screw. All you have to do is insert it into the grip tang of the lower and tighten until there is no wobble between the upper and lower.
