My new favorite optic for my main AR build
by JQ
Getting this optic is a buy once, cry once ordeal but in the end, you won't have buyer's regret. If you're coming from a background using an ACOG like what I did in the Corps, engaging at unknown distances were KISS because of the ease of measuring the distance of human sized targets using the BDC. The Raptor reticle definitely improves on the BDC design by adding features like moving target leads, wind holds, horseshoe for fast target acquisition at close distances, etc. Because of the 1-8x variable zoom, superior FOV, forgiving eye relief, and that ultra-clear Japanese glass (yes, they source from Low Optical Works a premier company who also OEMs for other brands such as Vortex, Nightforce, etc), this allows me to effectively engage point target up to 600m (patiently waited for the release of the meter version) and 800m area target using my M38 DMR clone build. All these features squeezed into an ultra-durable 30mm tube at just 16.9oz, PA definitely hit the mark in innovation.

I like it
by Rich -
I’m pleased with it- especially the reticle which is awesome. The eyebox and relief are tighter than a Razor and glass is comparable. The size and weight are impressive and illumination is better than what I expected. Looks like the price has come down a lot which makes it a smoking deal.
Best FFP money can buy right now.
by Shrek
The good:
- overall great glass
- massive FOV
- disappearing scope body
- lightweight
- short
- capped turrets
- smooth throwlever
- reticle is usable from 3-4x and up
- stadia lines at 1x are a great addition
- auto-live illum
- diopter is stiff
The meh:
- slight chromatic aberration around dark targets with a bright background
- illum is not daylight bright, it is daylight visible
- slight residue visible under the horseshoe when illum is on.
NF NX8: the PLXc is what the NX8 should have been. The eyebox is far more forgiving on the PLXc. PLXc FOV dunks on the NX8. the NF build quality is a bit better and feels a bit more sturdy. Not that the PLXc feels flimsy. NX8 also has more CA
Credo 1-6SFP: Glass is flatter on the credo with less CA but I prefer FFP reticles on 8x LVPOs. PLXc is also lighter.
Razor 1-10FFP: The razor has more fisheye than the PLXc but better illum. PLXc is lighter. The Razor 1-10 is still a good scope.
GREAT LPVO— NEEDS AN ANTI-REFLECTIVE DEVICE!
by Knighthawk
…Finally found an LPVO that provides a great reticle, light weight, ample brightness (though not as bright as the Vortex Razor center dot) and best-in-class glass quality. Turrets are great too, with positive clicks. NOW, Primary Arms, please come through with a high quality ARD to add, instead of the sunshade, at the front of the optic. Thanks!
