The Primary Arms 4-16x44mm first focal plane illuminated rifle scope combines one of the most popular magnification ranges for hunting with the features and innovations you'd expect from Primary Arms. At 4x magnification, the wide field of view and daylight bright reticle make tracking a moving target a breeze, while the top end's 16x magnification allows for unerring precision. This 4-16x44mm SLx scope is equipped with the ACSS R Grid 2B reticle. A marked improvement over the original R Grid, the 2B retains fan favorites like the horseshoe and chevron for up close snap shooting at low magnification, as well as the incredibly handy auto-ranging system. The original line grid has been replaced with a 0.1 MIL dot matrix grid to reduce clutter and allow for more precise holdover references for a full 15 MILs below the center. For shooters who want the best reticle for extreme range shooting without sacrificing speed up close, look no further than the ACSS R Grid 2B, compatible with ANY caliber.
The 4-16x44mm scope body is one of the most advanced to date, offering new innovative features, as well as old favorites. A removable and replaceable fin on the power ring allows for rapid adjustment of the magnification range just like a magnification lever, with the fin's placement entirely at the operator's discretion. The improved turrets have tactile and audible 0.1 MIL click adjustments. The illumination turret offers eleven settings. A smooth parallax adjustment and fast focus eyepiece work together to provide a perfectly crisp image of the target and reticle.

Awesome scope, even better reticle.

Really cant find anything to complain about with this one. The scope body and controls all seem to be holding up well and for the price point, provide fairly erganomic functions. The online description stated that there was no nightvision compatability but when the product arrived the scope had 2 nightvision illumination settings. This was also advertised on the product box. Not sure how or why but it was an upgrade in my eyes. The R-Grid 2B reticle is awesomely layed out and does a great job reducing clutter while still providing ample data. For the price I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and functionality.

Excellent value scope. Love the reticle. Hard to complain at $300 and I’m sure it’ll go on sale at some point too. For those curious, and because it’s not listed on any of the equivalent scopes, this optic is 14 3/16” long.
LE Scoped Rifle SPR T&E

With any state or local entity, budget and fiscal obligations come before anything else. This was tested during a course was at an elevation of 5,100' with typical Colorado weather patterns of 60F sunny days/10F cold days with snow/wind. This course included a lot of running, bouncing, roughing around of the rifle and optic. Almost 1,000 rounds through (currently) it in such a flux of harsh conditions to include snow and mud build up. I did not care for the red dot illumination feature too much as I found that most of the dim light work we could do without it. I ran 55gr, 69gr, and 77gr 556 ammunition through it at various parts of the training. I personally would have liked the mil-reticle to feature more of the traditional "bumps/circles" on the horizontal and vertical stadia but that did not take away from the product overall.

At this price it should have SIX Stars! This is a great scope. At first I thought the reticle was a bit 'crowded' but after a session at the range zeroing it, I was impressed on the simplicity of the Christmas Tree.

Excellent for the money

I just received my scope and mounted it on my rifle and went outside to look around. Color, contrast, and clarity are believe it or not BETTER than the slightly more expensive Japanese scope I took off.
All controls are very tight out of box, clicks are positive. As usual with primary arms products. It exceeded my expectations.
Great piece of glass

Zeroed it very easily and have since put 300 some odd rounds down range anywhere from 750 yds in. I love this reticle it’s easy to use and I’m way overreaching for 5.56 but it’s a blast with this scope.
