I now have two of these, one on an Aero upper and one on a Griffin upper. Both were easy to install with no issues (easier to install than even a Strike Industries cover). They function great and they look great, so I have no issues.

Installation is super easy and once installed it eliminates the need for barrel lug removal. Very lightweight and performs exactly like it should. Can't beat the price too

Got about 200 rounds with it on an 8.5" .300AAC upper. I'm a bit skeptical about longterm use, but it's holding up fine so far. Install is nothing surprising, no oddities during use. It's a dust cover. Not much else to say.
It works after a little modification

Bought one for a bravo company, Upper, and another for a geissele both had to be trimmed with a razor blade to allow clearance so it would even open had to shave about a 16th of an inch off the full length on both and they still don’t open as fast and smooth as the originals..
Nice Port Door with Issues

Better than the other brand of polymer port door I purchased.
Seems like better material, and way better latch detent, and better spring loaded pin, but...
Rear pin is molded off center, causing the door to only rotate about 90°, and bind up. Carefully sanded heal of port door to get needed clearance for full swing. Front is centered, so no issue there.
But really Magpul, how did you let this out the door??

Great idea on having a little tab on front pin to hold back when installing, and no need to constantly adjusting detent like the other name brand polymer port doors.
But
Not molded very accurately!
Rear pin is off center from base, causing it to bind when opening at about the half way point, and mold flash on rear of door also drug on receiver.
Used a diamond needle file to reduce radius on base so that it was concentric with pin. Took about 30 minutes hand fitting to get it corrected so that door would fully open without hanging up. Suprised a company like MagPul would not have corrected this issue before putting it on the market. Th molding flash is a non-issue, as this happens on just about any injected molded part, and easily trimmed off, but the pin being off center is a design flaw that MagPul should correct by modifying their mold.
Will I buy more?
Yes, but it would be nice not to have to spend a half hour making it fit.

Since FCD port covers are non existent now, and I cringe and the thought of anything by strike industry on my rifle. Good fit, smooth look, extremely easy to install or remove. Not a whole lot of use yet buts works fine now and I can’t for see any problems. Good design by a proven company.
