The Strike Industries Enhanced Ultimate Dust Cover is the world's first quick disconnect ejection port cover for the AR-15! Manufactured from high-density Nylon polymer, the UDC will never corrode, rust, fade, or deform. It features an internal True Seal lip to better protect your rifle from the elements. A built-in adjustable detent screw allows you to easily compensate for receiver wear, or increase/decrease opening power.
The spring-loaded internal detent rod provides easy installation and take down, often taking just 5-10 seconds! This enhanced version is thinner, allowing greater compatibility with nearly any AR-15 upper receiver, including billet uppers, on the market as well as reducing the weight to a minimal 0.3 oz! Did not fit multiple mil-spec uppers

looks great, but it barely locks closed. If you just bump the gun it opens. Not sure if there is some thing wrong with just this one or if this is common .

This is a really nice and well made cover, but, it will NOT fit on a Wilson Combat milled upper.

Put this on a Smith & Wesson M&P 15. A big improvement over the regular Mil Spec dust cover. I plan on putting these on all my AR's. Shipping was fast as usual from Primary.

Put this on a mil-spec upper receiver to replace a mil-spec dust cover I lost the tiny C/E clip for. The mil-spec dust cover was a pain to get off but it was worth it to get this one on. All you need to do is have some nimble fingers to pull a small spring back and pop the pins into the designated upper receiver holes. Installation was very easy and took seconds. Very durable and no tiny pieces to lose. I will buy this again for my future build(s).

Doesn't really fit in an Aero Precision upper unless you are willing to shave off a few millimeters to have it close which is a bit disappointing.
Hit or miss

Doesn't have correct clearance with every upper. As others have noted, the bottom edge is a bit thick and won't spring open like a Mil-spec cover. Caveat to this; this cover worked perfect on a Troy product but failed to swing open on an Aero Precision upper.
Very Disappointed

Pros:
Very innovative design allows you to install and remove the cover without having to remove your barrel nut or try to shimmy the pivot rod out of the back of the upper receiver without scratching the finish.
The inside surface has a lip that mates with the ejection port on the upper, providing better dust protection than a mil-spec cover.
Looks schnazzy.
Cons:
Doesn’t fit. It’s either too long or too thick (along the bottom edge, where the pivot rod goes through). As a result, it’s too snug in the upper receiver, and the spring can’t overcome the friction. I tried shaving down the length and girth with a razor blade and some sandpaper, but it didn’t work.
Bottom line: Avoid it. I really wanted this to work, but if it doesn’t function, then it’s no good to me. I didn’t even bother trying to return it since I’d sanded it some, so I ultimately wasted fifteen bucks.
It’s Ok

Got this as a present, overall installation is easy once you get the old one off. Not sure if I’m in love with it. I had to completely dissasemble my gas system and barrel nut just to remove the old dust cover which was a lengthy process. It’s alright but not as good as other Strike industries products.
Easy Installation

Easy to install; however, it won't close with a Lantac BCG. The housing that holds the detent protrudes out more than a standard dust cover. I swapped BCG with a standard BCG and it closed just fine.
