Details

Radical Firearms 458 SOCOM AR-15 is a big bore semi-automatic hunting rifle that offers a versatile selection of ammunition types to shoot including heavy subsonic. The 16” 4140 CMV, HBAR profile barrel features a 1:14 twist rate that maintains the accuracy of the .458 SOCOM round out to long distances. This big bore AR is outfitted with an MHR free-float handguard with a full-length picatinny rail that allows you to customize your optic/accessory set-up. 458 SOCOM is a hard hitting round so Radical Firearms has chosen their Panzer Brake that keeps the muzzle flatter and gives the rifle a fierce artillery look. Radical Firearms 458 SOCOM AR-15 comes with some enhanced parts such as an ambidextrous safety selector, extended magazine release button, MFT pistol grip and an Adaptive Tactical Stock.

Radical Arms Socom .458 Purchase

I have built and still own 12 AR's of various calibers and configurations. I purchased the Radical Arms Socom .458 to ad a big bore AR for hunting hogs in Texas. I picked it up from my FFL today and I am really impressed with the quality and workmanship in this AR. I could not build one better than this one. The pivot pins were both smooth and easy to break down. The attention to detail was very impressive and the trigger pull was better than most of the stock AR systems I have tried. I have drop in triggers on all my ARs but plan to leave this one alone. Very happy with my purchase. I will repost after taking it to the range but from what I see it should shoot as good as it looks! It even has a double ambi safety on it!

I’ve had a radical 458 for almost 6 years now. After the 25 round break in period and a little modification to the mag the thing has run flawlessly with 300gr and 325gr bullets. It’s had over 1000 full power rounds through it and runs flawless. Buy one of these and laugh at your buddies little mouse 5.56 rifle. You won’t regret it.
