The Ruger American Pistol Duty is a lightweight and durable .45 ACP for the serious shooter. It integrates Novak® LoMount Carry 3-Dot sights for rapid target acquisition and accurate shooting. The Ruger Duty is constructed with a stainless steel slide to reduce weight and finished with a durable black nitride. The 4.5-inch barrel also features a durable black nitride finish with 1:16" slow twist for enhanced accuracy with lighter weight match bullets, performance tested for sustained +P ammunition use. It boasts a one-piece, high-performance, glass-filled nylon for strength and durability. The Ruger modular wrap-around grip system provides adjustment for palm swell and trigger reach to fit a wide range of hand sizes (small, medium and large included). The grip is further enhanced by the non-slip surfaces include front and rear slide serrations and an aggressive, Duty-textured frame and grip modules for enhanced control. The pre-tensioned striker system features a powerful striker spring for positive ignition without a heavy trigger pull. The Ruger American Pistol Duty 9mm offers a Mil-Std 1913 picatinny rail as a mounting point for a wide variety of standard lights and lasers.
