Ruger builds the target barrel from 1137 grade alloy steel using a cold hammer-forged method, which makes the barrel light and allows precise rifling to provide consistent, accurate shot placement when it's needed most.With the 18" barrel, Ruger has included a thread protector covering the threads and threaded the barrel with 1/2" X 28 threads per inch to accommodate improvements such as muzzle breaks, suppressor systems, and compensators. The free float 15" handguard is anodized hard coat black aluminum and built to disperse heat quickly and evenly along the entire length.Up top, the Ruger Precision features a black anodized 0 MOA Picatinny rail to accommodate most of the more popular scopes or optic systems. Built for target competition, the Ruger Precision Rifle has the Ruger Marksman Adjustable™ trigger, which can be adjusted externally, making it a sought after feature for quick adjustment from a range of 2.25 to 5 pounds.Ruger even includes the adjustment wrench stored in a compartment in the buttstock.
