The Safariland Quick Locking System Kit (QLS) address several user-level issues in a way that only the ingenious people at Safariland could come up with. First and foremost, the system allows uses to unhook the holster itself from whatever system is mounted to. This can come in handy, for example, if the user needs to wash a drop leg holster, plate carrier, or some other piece of kit. All the user has to do is unclip the QLS system, made of rugged injection molded nylon and the holster detaches.
