The semi-auto M1A was first introduced in 1974, so civilians could get their hands on this popular design. Now Springfield Armory has resurrected this popular rifle by building it for a variety of different roles whether you want a short SOCOM model or a Super Match for competition use. The Standard version takes a more classic approach with the beautiful walnut stock and 22” blued barrel chambered in .308 Winchester. While not the original 30.06 caliber, you will enjoy the affordability and relatively softer recoil that 7.62x51 has to offer. With a 10-round detachable box magazine and two-stage trigger, this classic battle rifle will be great for collectors who like to take their rifles to the tree stand or the range.
