The semi-auto M1A was first introduced in 1974, so civilians could get their hands on this popular design. Now Springfield Armory has resurrected this popular rifle by building it for a variety of different roles whether you want a short SOCOM model or a Super Match for competition use. The Standard version takes a more classic approach with the beautiful walnut stock and 22” blued barrel chambered in .308 Winchester.
