With a much slimmer, re-contoured frame and slide the XD Mod2sc offers a more natural grip feel, has twice the magazine capacity and is only 2 (two) tenths of an inch thicker than most conceal carry firearm models. With the High-Hand grip relief and beavertail contour, the XD Mod2sc places the shooter’s hand as high as possible and as close to the barrel bore as possible. This greatly reduces felt recoil and allows for accurate placement of shots during rapid fire.

Springfield made the XD Mod2sc series sub-compact with a striker status indicator and loaded chamber indicator so you can see if there’s one in the chamber without slide movement. Using the USA or Ultra Safety Assurance Trigger System the XD Mod2sc will not fire unless the shooter places direct rearward pressure against the trigger, so if this sub-compact gets dropped it will not discharge.
