The TX22 Competition SCR (Steel Challenge Ready) represents the evolution of Taurus’ renowned .22LR semi-automatic platform. Taurus has refined the TX22 platform with a Target model variant tailored specifically for Steel Challenge competition.

Building upon the foundation of the original TaurusTX™ 22 Competition model, the TX22 Competition SCR features a precision-engineered slide and match-grade bull barrel. The "skeletonized" slide incorporates a custom enlarged ejection port, allowing seamless mounting of a red dot optic to the barrel while preventing any ejection issues. This configuration significantly enhances accuracy compared to traditional slide-mounted optic platforms. Two adapter plates, each offering two mounting patterns, are included to accommodate leading red dot sights available on the market.

The addition of the TandemKross Game Changer PRO squared compensator not only adds weight for improved gun balance and accuracy but also redirects a portion of propellant gases to mitigate recoil and muzzle rise. Venting gases at dual 45° angles enhances visibility and control while keeping the red dot lens clear of debris.

Featuring the TandemKross “Eagle’s Talon” aftermarket extractor, crafted from hardened tool steel, the TX22 Competition SCR ensures extreme toughness and extended lifespan, ideal for competitors who shoot high round counts.

A custom bull barrel enhances accuracy by effectively absorbing vibrations and heat, maintaining consistent performance throughout matches. Additionally, a custom feed ramp with a high-polish finish improves feeding and reliability, further optimizing the TX22 Competition SCR for competitive shooting scenarios.
