Old Model Is Better

by -

I have two of the older 1x models and they are great, clear and work as advertised. I have to say the flip covers fit loose and that's not that important to me, I just had to mention it. They appear to be a true 1x and no fish eye affect and with both eyes open are very clear. This new model appears to be minus 2x or so and is no where near as nice as the older model. With both eyes open it gets blury and has the fish-eye affect. I figured a lens was installed backwards or it had some defect from the factory so I had it replaced. The replacement had the same thing going on so I'm getting a refund. I wonder if there was a batch of bad ones that came in and I got both from that one? I like Vortex products but................
I have to say I'm very pleased with Primary Arms, great service and fast shipping.

Excellent value, quality, and price!

I own five of the old models, and one of the newer models. I like the fact that you can use this optic without battery if needed! It is much clear than any red dot I have used. Yes the flip up scope covers are loose fitting, very fixable with tape. I hunt with the 300 blackout, and with this sight, very quick to get on target very fast! I could care less about cowitness, but I do have iron back up! very over looked optic!

Better than a Red Dot

by

I have now bought two of these. It is a great substitute for a red dot. The etched glass reticle means that you will always have at least black target rings...even if the battery is dead. No longer any issues of seeing a red dot on a bright day. Best of all is if you have a stigmatism the etched glass reticle stay crisp when illuminated unlike the blurry star burst pattern you may get as you increase the intensity of a red dot.

Works without batteries-very easy to use

by

Love my Spitfire the reticle is easy to pick up even with the illumination off. I received this a gift and really like it

Vortex spitfire 1x is legit.

5 star product. I purchased a sig Romeo 5 only to find out that I have an astigmatism. I did my research and learned that prism scopes are the cure. I love the red and green options as well as the etched reticle so, if your battery runs out, you still have a sight! BUY now! You won’t be disappointed.

My third Spitfite

Love these little scopes. The reticle is quick on target and the inner dot small enough for accurate target alignment. Can't get a better sight for the money

Prism sights and thermals are the way of the future

This sight appears to be military grade in construction. The reticle is excellent. The only downside to prism scopes is they tend to be heavy. This one is not that bad. I would say its comparable to an M68 sight in weight.
