The Echo Zulu Armorer's Wrench is engineered around the detail that conventional castle nut wrenches rarely address: a 1/2-inch square drive socket at the same center-to-center distance as a USGI castle nut wrench, so a calibrated torque wrench delivers the correct 38 to 42 foot-pound specification when torquing castle nuts.
The Echo Zulu Armorer's Wrench is precision machined from 4140 alloy steel, heat treated to over 50 Rc, and finished in black oxide to preserve that hardness, with a 1/2-inch square drive socket matching USGI castle nut wrench center-to-center for torque wrench compatibility.
Heat treatment to over 50 Rockwell hardness gives the wrench the rigidity to handle the 38 to 42 foot-pound torque specification without deformation that would compromise wrench-face geometry. The black oxide finish preserves that hardness — competing finishes can introduce hydrogen embrittlement that reduces effective hardness in heat-treated tool steel. The 1/2-inch square drive connects to any standard torque wrench.
Material: 4140 alloy steel. Heat treatment: over 50 Rc. Finish: black oxide. Drive: 1/2-inch square. For use at 38-42 ft-lb castle nut torque specification. Patent pending.
4140 alloy steel heat-treated to 50+ Rc, black oxide finish. 1/2-inch square drive at USGI center-to-center for torque wrench compatibility.
The precision torque tool for armorers who install castle nuts to specification and need a wrench engineered for accurate, repeatable torque without hardware degradation.
Tango Uniform designs the Echo Zulu Armorer's Wrench as the torque-compatible component of the Echo Zulu Castle Nut System for professional AR-15 armorer use.
