Love this charging handle! But read this first!

So I bought this to go in an AP upper. The side fins were tight and it kind of snapped in. It functions like butter once in though and doesn’t have any flex like some ambi handles do. I tried it in some other uppers before installing and found a mixed bag. Since the side fins seem a bit oversized, it didn’t fit the Radical upper. I would have had to remove a little material to get it to fit. It was a tight fit in my IWI but functioned great. The foxtrot mike 9 was also a no go. I did however, just order another for the foxtrot Mike 9. I’ll modify the side fins if I have to. I just love the smooth operation in the AP upper and the way it doesn’t rattle or flex. I’ll do a bit of fitting if I have to because I’ve really took a liking to this handle!
Very Nice Product But Appeared to Be Oversized

Bought this to go with my new Aero Precision M4E1Upper. The fit to the upper when installing it was very tight. It had to be forced into the slot. Once in, it was rough when actuating and very rough feeling. Yes, I oiled it well to make sure that was not the problem and the one it replaced was having no issues (similar style, different brand and also an OEM standard).
I have two of these uppers so I put in in the other. It did fit better in the second one, but still tight. In this upper, it is usable, so going to keep it. No doubt it is tighter than others of different brands I own so going to drop a star.

Got this on sale when I wanted an ambi charging handle with a gas busting lip. I like it better than the BCM it replaced but it doesn’t compare to the feel of the Geissele Airborne which is my favorite right now. For the sale price this Aero was a no brainer as it was half the price of a Geissele.

Required hand fitting

The guiding fins on this charging handle were too thick to slide into my CMT upper. I tried with a different AERO charging handle that I had and that one worked fine so the AERO breach that I received was defective. I was able to get it to run smoothly after about 20 minutes of careful sanding but I don't think that this should be an issue for a company with the reputation AREO does and on a platform as standardized as the AR-15.
