Aero Precision ATLAS S-ONE M-LOK AR-15 Handguard - FDE - 15"

Extremely happy with the handguard. Feels light weight without reduced durability. Perfectly made no flaws.

I love the Atlas-S design and have it on my previous build, but this time I built a lefty AR, and well that’s an issue. On the bottom right is a cut out for the dust cover pin to fit in, but when attached to a left handed upper there is no cut out and the hand guard doesn’t fit correctly. I had to force it in place with a hammer and that marred up the finish pretty badly. I will either need to file a section out or cut it out with a tool. As of now, the dust cover doesn’t open or close properly due to the strain of being forced against the handguard. I love the look of my Atlas-S but that design flaw has killed my excitement of my new build. Very disappointing since I love Aero Precision products and have 6 pieces on this build.

Fit, finish, ease of installation all great as usual. Installed three of these in one morning last week. I’ll use them again I’m sure.

Yeah, it is a great handguard. Yes the nut needs to be timed but its not hard. The provided barrel nut is simple to use.
I wanted a handguard that didn't have pic rails all the way down. Love it! Only need it on front. It allows me to wrap my hand around the guard for movement or better control. M-Lok slots allow for attaching anything you want, just not on top. QD mount included is just one less piece to add.
Now about function. I have had this on my primary AR15 for over a year. Finish was perfect from factory and is holding up much better than I expected. It gets abused a lot on my rifle and it is tough.
The clamp nuts are keyed and tighten synchronously which is great.
And its lightweight. I mounted my low pro Adj gas block underneath without any issues.

I was expecting the aluminum to be thicker, it it quite a bit thinner than my Faxon handguard. It keeps the weight down, but I wouldn't want to drop it on a hard surface. M lok slots work, the rail is a joy to hold, the cerakote is very well done, and there are plenty of cooling vents. Personally, I don't understand why barrel nuts don't have wrench flats, it would give more options for install. My last faxon handguard had wrench flats on the barrel nut.

Phenomenal handguard! Matches perfectly to my upper/lower by AeroPrecision. Light and rock solid ....definitly going to be picking up more for future builds when they go on sale !

Love this new handguard.
It feels very nice in the hand, light weight. I didn't know if I'd like the picatinny just on the front and back of the rail but with all the m-loc positions I've had no issues.
My only complaint was its a little pricey.

Took 2 tries to get the spacers correct but everything went together very smooth. I didn’t want a full rail and made a good choice with a 54mm scope lens it would have hit the full rail and not worked but with this free float tube everything worked out perfectly. Solid quality and scratch resistant. I’m not a gentle person when building my rifles and managed not to scratch this at all. I’m very happy with the color and quality.

I received and the quality of design and finish were excellent! However, I had to send back because I ordered the wrong handguard by accident. Needed the M5 version but missed that it was AR-15 model in the description, lol:) PA is great to work with, fast shipping and return was painless.
