The Aero Precision M4E1 Threaded Stripped AR-15 upper receiver without forward assist is forged from 7075-T6 Aluminum, precision machined to work with all mil-spec AR15 components and lower receivers. It is designed to pair perfectly with the enhanced body profile of the M4E1 Lower Receiver, giving you a billet-looking receiver set at a fraction of the billet price.. This upper has been treated with a durable black hardcoat anodized finish.

Ok Uppers

I mainly use these because they match the m4e1 lowers. my only complaint about these are that they are hit and miss for taking aftermarket dust covers. This one without the F/A worked with a Strike Industries enhanced one, but the CMMG 22lr BCG I had in it didnt. I have 2 other m4e1 uppers (with F/As) that a Strike Industries and a Magpul poly dust cover wouldn't work on.

It feels and looks great to not have a forward assist. Functions just fine. I am not one that thinks you need the best high end upper - I dont know the difference when shooting. It is solid. I would buy again no problem.

I've purchased Aero Precision uppers / lowers to build 4-5 MSR's over the past few years. I built a .22LR rifle with a dedicated CMMG barrel and BCG with an Aero Precision M4E1 upper without the forward assist. Looks and Works beautifully. Aero Precision makes a great affordable product. Decided to go with the slick side for an ultra-light build. I've always liked the fit and finish of the M4E1 Aero products, so it was a natural choice. This upper met my expectations. Finish was perfect and it fit tight with my ballistics advantage lower receiver. Solid upper from a solid company.
