Aero's quality control has taken a dive.

In the last month, I have ordered three of these receivers. Two from Primary Arms, one from another company. All of them have been defective due to damage to the barrel mating surface or barrel nut threads. All new in box, non-blem units.
Very disappointing from Aero.
Great Upper

Finish is fantastic. Fits on all three of my different brand DPMS style lowers. Going to be modified slightly for use with a 270 WSM build.
Good value

Fit to the M5 lower was very precise. The front pivot pin was a little too tight but prevented any slop/play. The fit to the barrel extension of a Criterion Match barrel was a little looser than expected and required shimming. Everything else was good.

Good price. Worked as advertised. Cool thing, it had and Allen key pin installed where the bolt assist goes in. I did not remember reading that, but it was a bonus.

M5 Upper

The AP M5 Upper is a great upper for your big bore build. It's compatible with DPMS high profile hand guards. If using the UTG Pro Slim Line .308 hand guard be advised that you will need to use the included spacers in order to time the hand guard locking ring for the screws.
