The Spuhr FlipMount lets shooters swing the magnifier down and out of the sight picture for close-range engagements, then flip it back into position for extended-range target identification. Because the magnifier uses the red dot from a paired Aimpoint sight as its aiming reference rather than its own reticle, there's no re-zeroing needed when switching between magnified and unmagnified aiming.
