Details

The AK Master Mount Side Rail offers an innovative solution to mount optics on your AK. It boasts a low profile, rock solid steel fabrication for a rugged addition to your rifle that will provide a service life as long as the AK itself. The side rail mount will accommodate standard AK styled clamping optic mounts and offers a central scalloped recessed area so that SVD styled locking optic mounts (such as the PK-01VS) can be used. Please note that this is a standard AK pattern side rail and is not compatible with SVD optic mounts that require the central groove channel for the stop pin. The AK Master Mount side rail is the only commercially available product that delivers a reliable side rail attachment point without permanent modification to the AK’s receiver. It quickly and easily attaches to the milled or stamped AK receiver’s hammer and trigger axis pin holes with AK Master’s proprietary mounting pins. This means no need to drill, tap, rivet, or use a gunsmith.

I installed this on an Arsenal SLR95 I’ve had for over a decade. Install was easy. If you can replace an AK trigger group you can install this. It states you don’t need to use the retaining plate or Shepherds Hook, but I reinstalled the retaining plate I installed when I replaced the trigger years ago. I suggest using the plate or reusing the shepherds hook on install as the hammer is wobbly without it. I’ve only used this at one range session with 180 rounds down range. It held good with just low strength thread locker. You could also use medium strength if desired. I used an Arsenal SA-13 rail and it all lined up well. There are reviews online for this Master Mount that all seem to agree this is a solid mount that doesn’t require any permanent modification. I’m tempted to get another for my NHM-90.

Perfect way to get a red dot on an Old School Galil

This might be a better option than the original style galil mounts. Because this also eliminated the need for the wire retention hook around the trigger and hammer pin, I had to use small washers as spacers to keep the hammer from shifting and catching on the left rail. Otherwise this mount allowed me to use ak optic mounts on my old Galil (not the ACE).
So far both Rs and Master Mount lock up perfectly.

AK MASTER MOUNT SIDE RAIL KIT

Purchased this side rail kit for my Arsenal SLR95. Installation was simple and fitment is rock solid. I mounted a Midwest Industries scope rail mount to it with a Primary Arms ACSS Raptor 7.62x39/300BLK Reticle Scope. I'm very happy with this set up and the excellent service from Primary Arms.

Awesome scope mount!

This scope mount took me all of maybe 10-15 minutes to install. No worries about having to rezero scopes every time you have to break the weapon down for cleaning.
