This mount will place optics to a central height of 1.47" making it ideal for AR-pattern rifles. The extended cantilever provides additional room to find the appropriate eye relief, ideal for shooters who prefer a nose-to-charging handle shooting position.
Featuring ADM's QD Auto Lock Lever system, the AD-RECON can be fully adjusted without tools to accommodate most Picatinny rail systems. This glove friendly locking system ensures the mount will not move until you need to remove it, and provides exceptional return to zero with mounted optics. It is also fully covered by American Defense's lifetime warranty.

Adm Recon-X review

I purchases the Recon x to mount a vortex viper pst 1-4 on my ar15. The mount has been 100% satisfactory, although I have not tested it for return to Zero accuracy. Shipping was excellent, just what I expect from a reputable online retailer.

I have sold many of these mounts through Primary Arms, as well as use on my own personal 3 Gun AR 15.They are rock solid, hold zero and look great.I recommend highly, and if you want to get them from the best company with the best customer service, you need to call either Scott or Brett. Tell them Tahco sent you.Great product, great people, Tahco approved.
Nice Mount

Pricey, but I guess you get what you pay for. Mounted a Burris XTR 1-4x on my AR15 flatop received, puts it forward far enough to still use NTCH sighting.

Very happy with the mount. Solid platform, 4 acres on each ring and no tools needed to remove mount. Very tight tolerance and doesn't slip between rail ridges.

What a tank of a qd mount

Initial impressions upon unboxing this mount were why did I wait years to buy this thing?!?!
This ADM recon x qd is a solid 30mm mount, I really like the feel of quality gear, it just feels different when handling it. There is no question that this mount will perform as expected for years and years to come no matter what conditions its subjected to. The tube of vibratite VC3 is nice but Ill just use some of mine. If you dont know about vibratite vc-3 you need to buy some for yourself and throw the blue loctite in the trash.
The whole mount is easy to install with the adjustable qd lever mounts, 30mm lpvo locked down easily and following the included instructions I had no issues with scope cant while torquing the cap screws down.

The ADM qd latches lock on easily and securely. Once adjusted the recon mount isnt going to move until you want it to. Would purchase this again without hesitation, glad I bypassed the cheaper mounts and went straight to ADM.

Solid as a rock and can be quickly changed between different rifles (especially if you have a marked rail) and quickly trued without losing zero.

Used the AD Recon to mount a fairly large scope on a heavy target rifle. At the next match, I lost my grip and dropped the rifle from shoulder height right onto concrete. It landed on the scope and mount, scratching both, but amazingly, my 200-yard zero didn't shift at all. That sold me, and I've since bought another AD Recon for another rifle.
