Details

Unlike millions of pepper spray or aerosol defense products which are one and done, ASP Key Defenders are engineered to use dispersion devices which can be reused following deployment. Each Palm Defender uses a proprietary, and replaceable, OC (Oleoresin Capsicum) insert which is precision-machined from aerospace aluminum and solid brass.

In addition, the entire Palm Defender and its specially-produced valve system and patented dispensing mechanism is O-ring sealed to prevent an unwarranted discharge. Having a component based dispersal system is a significant advantage over the use and throw away dispersal systems, in that it facilitates safe training.

Using the Palm Defender with a test insert of harmless, inert aerosol allows for proper law enforcement training up close and personal without the possibility of inflicting actual harm. It's recommended using a Palm Defender Test Insert and practicing several deployment techniques before stepping up to an active Heat Insert.
