The B5 Systems Type 23 Pistol Grip is designed as a direct replacement for the standard A2 grip commonly found on AR-15 rifles. It provides enhanced ergonomics and improved control by incorporating a more vertical 13° grip angle, which aligns more naturally with the wrist. This is especially beneficial for modern shooting stances and can help reduce fatigue during extended use.
The grip also features an extended top tang, which helps create a smoother transition to the lower receiver and supports consistent finger placement on the trigger. An aggressive surface texture enhances retention, providing a secure hold even in adverse conditions.

Almost perfect

I love the grip texture and angle of these grips. I just wish they came with a sealed door similar to the BCM grips. It would be nice to store extra batteries in the grip without spending more money on a grip plug.
Coyote Brown matches perfectly with their stock and trigger guard

I combined this with their B5 Bravo stock and polymer trigger guard, all in the Coyote Brown color. Excellent fit - VERY tight. A stainless 1/4 x 28 pan head screw with a No. 3 Phillips head is provided to secure it in place. It is hollowed to capture the safety selector spring. (spring not included) It has a more vertical profile than an A2 grip. The texture feels like good coarse sandpaper. Make sure this is the kind of texture you like. Provides excellent 'purchase' on the grip for me, and the shape fills my normal hand just great.
The grip is hollow, and has an extra hole in the top -- maybe to allow for drainage from the receiver?

Love the grip. Angle is good, color is good, fit is snug. The pictured grip is the smooth version, what I got in the box is the textured version with the texture on the sides and front. Funny part is I ordered the textured version somewhere else right after this one to see which I liked. Now I have two textured ones...lol. Great grip though.
Awesome Pistol Grip!

This is personally my favorite grip I’ve ever used, and I have used quite a few (Magpul, Larue, BCM). The coyote color is much more aesthetically pleasing, compared to boring FDE. B5 makes great products, and this is a perfect example!
Coyote colors aren’t consistent

I like their grips and stocks and I’ve had several. To date I’ve never had a coyote color that’s matched the color of their stocks. Other then black B5 can’t get their colors to match.

I've tried all of the grips. And the B5 P-23 is the best. Plus they are the only ones to offer coyote, which is the best color! I bought three in this color, one in back and one in OD green. Bought three SOPMODS in Coyote as well. Yeah, I'm a fan

I have two of these grips and I’ll be getting a third soon. I got one inCoyote Brown for my SCAR 17. I had to take a Dremel to the grip and the lower to make it fit. Yes, I cut on a $3500 rifle to fit a $20 grip. That’s how much I love this thing. These are the absolute best, most natural, most comfortable AR type grips available. Bar none.
