Because the original military lowers were roll marked rather than engraved, this receiver won't replicate every detail of an authentic forging, but the manufacturer works to keep the layout and lettering as close as possible. The upper receiver lug pockets are intentionally machined toward the low end of spec, so fit against an upper at the high end of tolerance will be snug; an upper on the loose side of spec may need light stoning on the lug faces to seat correctly, which is expected rather than a defect.
