The Barnes VOR-TX 6mm ARC 90gr TAC-TX BT is a hunting and defensive rifle cartridge designed specifically for AR-platform 6mm ARC rifles, loaded with an all-copper TAC-TX bullet optimized for reliable expansion at carbine-length barrel velocities.

Three engineering decisions make this load purpose-built for the 6mm ARC platform. The TAC-TX bullet features a larger polymer tip than standard Barnes copper bullets, allowing more fluid to enter the nose cavity on impact and initiating reliable expansion even at the lower velocities produced by shorter carbine-length barrels. A modified bullet cavity maximizes petal expansion across a wider velocity range, ensuring consistent terminal performance from close range to extended distances where velocity has dropped. All-copper construction eliminates the core-jacket separation failure mode of lead-core bullets, delivering superior barrier penetration and weight retention compared to conventional projectile designs.

Loaded for 6mm ARC chambered AR-platform rifles. Optimized for carbine-length barrels; compatible with standard-length barrels as well.
