Recce (pronounced WRECK-ee) is British slang for reconnaissance. The Recce rifle originated as an M4 variant that was lightweight but was also capable of shooting relatively longer-distances for a 5.56 rifle. Bravo Company took this concept and made it available to civilians who are looking for a ready-built all-purpose AR-15 designed to bet your life on. That includes an enhanced light weight barrel made of 11595E certified steel. The barrel and chamber are chrome-lined per Mil-spec to handle thousands and thousands of rounds. The entire barrel is coated with a manganese phosphate finish for increased durability and wear resistance. The heart of the rifle, the bolt carrier group, is the standard by which all bolt carrier groups can be measured. The bolt is machined from Mil-Spec Carpenter No. 158 steel and is individually High Pressure Tested and Magnetic Particle Inspected to ensure there are no problems otherwise invisible to the naked eye. Even the bolt carrier and gas key are chrome-lined to enhance longterm reliability. The gas key is also properly staked, as you would expect on a high quality bolt carrier group. The grip of the rifle has a more natural angle for squared off shooting than the old A2 style grips, which were designed for an era when a bladed "chicken wing" shooting stance was more common.
