The Breek Arms Sledgehammer Omni-Buster AR-10 is an ambidextrous gas-mitigating charging handle designed for DPMS-style AR-10 and LR-308 platforms, featuring three integrated internal gas-reducing features to minimize blowback at the shooter's face when running suppressed or unsuppressed.

Three integrated gas-reducing features work together to minimize blowback. A higher raised shelf at the rear of the upper receiver blocks gas from reaching the shooter's face — the first line of defense against the blowback that suppressor use significantly increases. Internal stem baffling slows gas expansion within the charging handle body, reducing the pressure and velocity of gas that passes the raised shelf. Optimized stem geometry redirects any residual excess gas away from the shooter rather than channeling it rearward, completing a three-stage mitigation system that addresses gas at each point along its path. Machined from aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminum with Type III hard-coat anodizing, the Omni-Buster handles the repeated thermal and mechanical cycling of a suppressed duty rifle without dimensional change or finish degradation.
