The Sledgehammer Omni-Buster is an ambidextrous gas-mitigating charging handle designed for mil-spec AR-15 and M16 platforms, featuring three integrated internal gas-reducing features to minimize blowback at the shooter's face during suppressed and unsuppressed fire.

The three-stage mitigation system tackles gas at each point along its path. A raised rear shelf at the upper receiver blocks the initial gas wave before it reaches the shooter's face — the primary concern on any suppressed build where back-pressure dramatically increases blowback. Internal stem baffling slows gas expansion within the handle body itself, reducing both pressure and velocity. Finally, optimized stem geometry redirects any residual gas away from the shooter, completing a layered defense that no single-feature handle can match. The ambidextrous latch design spans 2.59 inches, offering positive control from either side without the snag risk of oversized paddles.
