Charging your AR-15 under pressure demands a handle that works as hard as you do — the Breek Arms Warhammer Mod2 Micro Latch delivers ambidextrous control and gas-reducing geometry in a snag-resistant package.
The Warhammer Mod2 Micro is an ambidextrous charging handle designed for AR-15 and M16 rifles, built to improve manipulation speed and reduce suppressor gas blowback in a single drop-in upgrade.
The micro-sized latches span a total width of 2.40 inches — slightly wider than a standard charging handle — giving shooters a confident grip on either side without the bulk that causes snagging against slings, gear, or shooting barriers. Textured grooves cut into the latch handles allow positive purchase even when wearing heavy gloves, supporting fast, one-handed charging when it counts.
The Warhammer Mod2 is compatible with all mil-spec AR-15 and M16 upper receivers and installs without modification, making it a straightforward field-ready swap.
Machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and finished in a Type III hard-coat anodized Flat Dark Earth, this handle is built to resist wear and corrosion through extended use. The MOD 2 improvements include relief cuts on the top and bottom of the stem to redirect excess gas away from the shooter's face, paired with a heightened rear shelf that more thoroughly covers the back of the upper — a meaningful improvement when shooting suppressed.
The Warhammer Mod2 Micro is equally at home on a duty rifle, a suppressed build, or any setup where a low-profile, snag-free charging handle is a priority.
Breek Arms designs and manufactures their products in the United States, with a focus on practical improvements that translate directly to better performance at the range and in the field.

It's a charging handle...

It charges your AR bolt, pretty much what you'd expect it to do. Build quality is good and the latches are perfect size where they don't snag or catch on my gear.
Great

First off the price is great. Nice and wide handle, ambidextrous works great. Texture is pretty aggressive on bear hands but excellent if using gloves
Close, but no cigar…

Overall, the value for this charging handle is arguably unbeatable.
That said, it has one key flaw in that there is a lack of material where the handle latches to the receiver. While there is a cut intended to divert gas to the right, the lack of material in this area ultimately prevents the cut from effectively functioning, and gas tends to just spill out as if it weren’t there.
If you’re looking for an ambidextrous handle for regular use, this is certainly a great option! If you’re looking to divert gas, get the BCM Mk. 2!
Oh, the FDE finish is also not matte, at all. While 50 shades of FDE is a thing, this is just garish. This is what rattle cans are for though!
Excellent Charging Handle

Well made and a great design. I upgraded from a milspec charging handle. Huge difference in perceived blowback especially when shooting suppressed. I chose this particular one because it doesn’t get hung up on my kit. The price is very affordable especially when taking into account the quality of the design.

Perfect Size

These charging handles are my go to. I really like the original full-size version, but they were just a tad too wide. The new micro is the perfect size. Breek Arms got it right and the price is excellent.
