CMMG AR15 Ambi-Magazine Catch

Based on another review, I gave the CMMG a shot. I tried the Troy and Forward Controls ambi mag catches, and although those worked great on milspec lowers, no go on my 17 Designs billet lowers which are thick on the mag catch side. The CMMG was the ticket with its design not dependent on the face thickness of the lower as a pivot point. As added info, the only ambi mag catch that worked on my Aero M5 308 lowers were the Troy's. One worked perfectly, the other I had to slightly remove some material on the rocking side of the catch but it works great. I like the larger paddle on the Forward Contol ambi mag catch, but what I've learned is not everything is plug and play with our AR's. Hope this review helps.

Flush, operable, looks like a standard release, but easy action ambi release. Function and form are great.

I installed this on my ruger sfar and worked great looks like it should have come with it the sfar does require an extended release button for the other side in order to work

I tried another brand first that used other parts form but it wouldn't hold the magazine firmly. If they were bumped they'd fall out. This one does a great job! Quality part at a good price! And as always with PA, quick shipping. Replacing all my other mag releases with this one.

I am a huge fan of the norgon ambi-catch but the biggest issue I have with them is the price. You can spend less than half of the cost on this and it functions perfectly as intended. This also works in billet lowers like the SCO-15. I would definitely recommend this!
