I should have bought two!

I’ve got a 90 series Defender .45 acp that I purchased new & have owned for almost 25 yrs. I had always wanted a Colt in the venerable .45 acp. This has been my constant go-to carry piece & it feels like an old friend, comfortable, dependable & secure. <br>The only downside I have found in this 1911 is, with the shorter barrel it has a heavier mainspring & cheap target loads won’t cycle the slide completely & it stove pipes the next cartridge. Two solutions, either shoot hotter ammo or replace the main spring with a lighter one from Wolff springs. It’s simple & cost is around $10.
