The Cryptic Coatings 5.56 NATO AR-15 Bolt Carrier Group is a low-mass, steel BCG designed to reduce felt recoil and make follow-up shots easier. These high-quality semi-auto/full auto 5.56 NATO BCGs work with AR-15, M16, and M4 platforms. They feature a carrier machined from MIL-SPEC 8620 tool steel, a chrome-lined interior, and a shrouded firing pin. The heat-treated gas key is sealed and secured with Grade 8 fasteners and staked to MIL-SPEC for proper gas system function. The MIL-SPEC bolt is machined from Carpenter 158 steel and shot-peened for strength. A tool steel extractor with Wolff spring, Viton O-ring, and a black insert is included. This bolt carrier group features a Dragon's Breath coating for a unique look and added customization to your rifle.

At first I was skeptical on these and even called the Co to inquire on several matters. Their Customer Service was a great as Primary Arms is so that was a pleasant surprise. They completely assure you that their BCGs will work in any platform and if not, a full warranty w paid shipping is offered. Yes, they DO look Gucci to the eye but trust me when I say they're both wicked "slick" and easier to clean than wiping off your shooting glasses!
Carbon doesn't build up anywhere and ANYTHING on the surfaces simply wipes off with a microfiber towel. I've never seen anything like it! Running their "Burnt Bronze" 5.56 one in a BCM Upper (Black. Looks AWESOME!) and it runs absolutely flawless. has an even slippier finish too. This Dragons Breath would look great in ANY color Upper!

Amazing product with great tolerances in each bcg that I have bought. Using in multiple firearms and they have worked flawlessly. Easy to clean and the coatings last a long time even after thousands of rounds. Great job Cryptic.
