The Cryptic Coatings 9mm Bolt Carrier Group is a 9mm-specific BCG for GLOCK and Colt-style magazine 9mm AR builds, machined from mil-spec 8620 aircraft-quality steel with a 4140 heavy-duty external extractor, removable counterweight, and self-locking aluminum guide key, finished in Mystic Silver.

Four features define the Cryptic 9mm BCG's design advantage. The heavy-duty 4140 heat-treated external extractor is purpose-designed for the 9mm case rather than adapted from a rifle extractor profile, providing reliable extraction across the full range of 9mm load pressures and headspace variations that 9mm pistol-caliber ARs encounter with mixed commercial and duty ammunition. The threaded extractor pin allows field removal of the extractor without specialized tools — a serviceability advantage on a blowback or delayed-blowback platform where extractor replacement is a more common maintenance need than on a rotating-bolt rifle. The removable counterweight via threaded set screw allows the shooter to tune the carrier's mass for their specific buffer and spring combination, optimizing cycling behavior across different setups.
