I have heard great things about Daniel Defence so I decided to give them a try for my AR 15 project. I'm glad I did! The quality of this barrel is excellent. I figured that the accuracy wouldn't be very good because it's a lightweight profile. I was wrong! Fit and finish is perfect. I will definitely be using this barrel for my next build.

I was going for the best barrel I could find while trying to save on weight. When I read for weeks on which barrel to go with, Daniel Defense was mentioned every time as one that will not disappoint. So, I dropped the bucks on this one Saturday and PA had it arrive on Tuesday. As for the barrel, the quality is superb. The finish was excellent, fit tolerances were tight but not so tight I couldn't install it myself and this thing will put groupings with Black Hills ammo and good trigger control the size of a tangerine (probably better if I had a better trigger). I couldn't be happier. As for heat and accuracy while the barrel is hot, I didn't notice any concerning differences that would negate being able to hit your target. This barrel, along with everything else, brought the total weight to less than that of a Les Paul Custom. If you're building for speed and want to maintain accuracy shot after shot, this IS the barrel you want.
