The Daniel Defense DD5v4 was designed, engineered, and built from the ground up to create the new standard for large frame AR pattern rifles. The 18" cold hammer forged strength-to-weight profile barrel has selected to provide the perfect balance of rigidity, precision, and weight. A unique barrel extension and 4 bolt connection system helps get even more accuracy out of the barrel. To improve reliability, the bolt carrier group features enhanced external geometry, a redesigned extractor, beefed up cam pin, and dual ejectors. The rifle has also been built with fully ambidextrous controls including the charging handle, safety selector, magazine release and bolt catch.
