The DDMvV4 is built around a free-floating cold-hammer-forged short barrel and delivers maximum maneuverability and accurate ballistics supporting various ammunition calibers. The lower receiver of the DDM4V4 S is formed with a Mil-Spec enhanced flared magazine well with quick-disconnect attachment points integrated along the front and back of the rail on both sides. This unique configuration provided by Daniel Defense promotes the tangle-free ambidextrous operation of a mounted sling. The three removable high-temperature resistant Daniel Defense rail panels offer a positive and comfortable grip that protects the support hand from heat better than most rails on today's market. Each DDM4V4 S features a chrome-lined M16-profile Mil-Spec bolt carrier group with a properly staked gas key. This SBR Daniel Defense semi-automatic rifle has an upper receiver with indexing marks and M4 feed ramps.

It's also CNC machined 7075-T6 aluminum alloy coated in black Type III anodized coating to better resist corrosion and wear regardless of rough terrain and poor weather conditions. The gas system of the DDM4V4 features a pinned, low-profile gas block of 4140 hardened steel and a Mil-Spec heavy phosphate coating to better resist the effects of corrosion and wear. This DDM4V4 S short-barreled rifle features a Daniel Defense buttstock constructed of glass-filled polymer and also comes with soft-touch overmolding to ensure efficient and comfortable operation.
