The Daniel Defense MK18 Complete AR-15 Upper Receiver in Flat Dark Earth is the same 10.3" upper assembly used on Daniel Defense's own MK18 short-barreled rifle and MK18 pistol, built for close-quarters use where compact length matters most.

Every component here — barrel, RIS II handguard, and bolt carrier group — is produced in-house by Daniel Defense to the same standard as their complete MK18 rifles, and each upper is hand assembled, quality checked, and test fired before it leaves the factory. The flash suppressor is sized to tame the more pronounced signature a 10.3" barrel produces.

Because this 10.3" barrel measures under 16", this complete upper is intended only for an AR pistol or a legally registered short-barreled rifle — attaching it to a standard rifle lower without the correct configuration violates federal law.
