The Daniel Defense MK12 Low Profile AR-15 Gas Block is built to the same specification Daniel Defense supplies under its Naval Surface Warfare Center - Crane Division contract for USSOCOM. Built for .750" barrels, this low profile gas block ships complete with everything needed to install it correctly on a compatible upper, right down to the wrench.

Because this gas block is built to Daniel Defense's Crane Division contract specification, it carries the same dimensional tolerances as the blocks Daniel Defense supplies to USSOCOM rather than a commercial-only spec. It does not fit under the DDM4 Rail, SLiM Rail, MFR XS, or Omega Rail, so confirm handguard compatibility before ordering. Shipping with its own roll pin, mounting screws, and wrench means there's nothing extra to track down before getting it installed and torqued to spec.

Not guaranteed to fit under most rails

Daniel Defense states this gas block is only guaranteed to fit under their RIS II rail system but they do not include this information in the description. Be warned it may not fit under other rails because it has so much chunkier on the bottom than most gas blocks. Had I know this I would not have bought it and would have bought another low pro gas block.

It's Daniel Defense, so you know it has great quality, but to be honest the gas block on my friends AR that only cost $20 looks and feels to be the same, so not sure why I bothered to pay 3x more just for a name.
