The Daniel Defense Omega Rail 9.0 M-LOK is a two-piece, free float handguard built as a premium upgrade for AR-15s still running plastic handguards, installing with only the included Allen wrench and requiring zero modification to the weapon, even on rifles with a fixed front sight.

Two halves join at the front of the rail, and despite that split, the design still free floats the barrel rather than clamping onto it, giving the accuracy benefit of a true free float handguard in a two-piece body that installs like a standard drop-in. The included QD sling mount has an integral rotation limiter and can be mounted to either side of the rail, so left- or right-handed carry is equally easy to set up. At a rail length of 8.99 inches, this handguard is sized for AR-15s running mid-length gas systems, giving more M-LOK real estate than the 7.0 version for builders who want room for a light and a grip together.
