The Daniel Defense PCC 916 brings the company's cold hammer forged barrel manufacturing to an affordable, easy-shooting 9mm carbine. Built for the AR-15 shooter who wants a low-cost-per-round range gun, this pistol-caliber carbine pairs a compact receiver set with fully ambidextrous controls.
Features:
- 16-inch cold hammer forged barrel with a 1:10 twist
- Fully ambidextrous charging handle, selector, mag release, and bolt catch
- Hydraulic buffer reduces recoil from the direct-blowback action
- Free-floating 13.5-inch DD4 M-LOK rail
- Compact upper and lower receivers, shorter than a standard AR-15
- Compatible with widely available CZ Scorpion magazines
Daniel Defense scales the PCC 916's upper and lower receivers down from a standard AR-15-length platform, making the carbine noticeably more compact and maneuverable while retaining familiar AR manual-of-arms. The 16-inch, 1:10-twist cold hammer forged barrel is built to the same manufacturing standard as the company's rifle-caliber barrels, and a hydraulic buffer meaningfully reduces the sharp recoil impulse typical of direct-blowback 9mm carbines. A proprietary pushbutton magazine release replaces the paddle-style release found on many PCCs, and the carbine feeds from widely available, affordable CZ Scorpion-pattern magazines. The free-floating, 13.5-inch DD4 M-LOK rail accepts lights, slings, and vertical grips, and the 1/2x28 threaded muzzle accepts standard aftermarket 9mm muzzle devices in place of the included DD A2 flash hider.
Daniel Defense has manufactured AR-platform rifles in the United States since 2000 and supplies component-level parts to U.S. military and law enforcement units in addition to its consumer lineup. That same cold hammer forged barrel manufacturing and quality control carries over to the company's pistol-caliber carbines.
