The Daniel Defense RIS III Handguard is a free-floating rail built on the proven RIS II design, shedding weight while adding seven M-LOK mounting points along a rigid 6-bolt Bolt-Up attachment system.

The RIS III keeps the same proven free float accuracy as the RIS II while reducing weight and adding M-LOK attachment points plus an integrated sling attachment point. A continuous top Picatinny rail allows easy optic and accessory attachment alongside the 7 positions of M-LOK down the rail. The 6-bolt Bolt-Up system creates a solid connection to the upper receiver, eliminating loose movement, and because it's backward compatible with the RIS II Bolt-Up system and lower rail, it drops into an existing RIS II setup without compatibility issues. At 12.55 inches, this size suits rifle-length gas systems, giving a solid, rigid rail in a length proportioned for that configuration. Note that because of the anodization process, FDE color may vary slightly from batch to batch, with some units running a bit more brown than others.
