The Daniel Defense RIS III FSP Handguard uses the same free float RIS III design, cut to seamlessly integrate with the front sight post of a carbine-length gas system while keeping a continuous Picatinny top rail and 7 rows of M-LOK attachment.

Unlike the standard RIS III, this FSP version is cut to fit over an existing fixed front sight post rather than replacing it, making it the right choice for carbine-length builds keeping the factory front sight. It's backward compatible with the Daniel Defense RIS II Bolt-Up System and fully compatible with the RIS II Lower Rail, so it drops into an existing RIS II setup, and the continuous Picatinny top rail keeps a single sight plane available for optics and back-up irons. Note that because of the anodization process, FDE color may vary slightly from batch to batch, with some units running a bit more brown than others.
