D&H Industries Aluminum 5.56 NATO 30 Round Magazine - Magpul Follower - Grey

Purchased 10, half of them fit perfectly. The rest had welds on the spine which were scraping material off the inside of four different lowers. Had to file them to insert smoothly without SUBSTANTIAL force.

I thought these would be better given D&H is an OEM for many other companies. Best avoid this product...

Ran these through my factory LMT and KAC. No issues. Had about 8 I took to a class this past weekend. What you would expect. GI Mags with Magpul followers. Zero issues.

I have been using this product for years. These magazines being sold by this retailer are NOT what you have probably used before.
- Spot welds are no longer present. Instead, there are two sharp, ragged welds running the full length of the magazine.
-Worse finish. The fnish is now thin, and is no longer dark grey. This finish is much lighter. In outdoor lighting is looks yellowish, like metal heated to a straw color.
There are now dozens of little black specks baked into the finish. It appears closer to a layer of clear coat over oxidized aluminum than anything.
- Faint manufacturer stamps. Both the CAGE code and date marking are shallow and difficult to read.
I would not buy these again. It does appear that different retailers do in fact get different versions of these. I have been able to elsewhere locate these magazines with the good finish and good markings. Unfortunately, even those utilize the strange welds, although significantly less rough.
