The Ed Brown Kobra Carry is a single-action .45 ACP 1911-style pistol designed for concealed carry, built on a full-size frame with a 4.25-inch barrel and matte stainless steel construction throughout.

The 4.25-inch slide is reduced to the minimum length that maintains 1911 reliability — short enough to minimize print under clothing, long enough to preserve the legendary cycling dependability of the 5-inch platform. The Ed Brown Bobtail housing reshapes the mainspring housing to reduce the projecting grip butt, decreasing the pistol’s profile for carry without requiring compact-frame magazines. The proprietary directional Snakeskin texture on the forestrap, Bobtail housing, and slide grips tighter in the shooting direction while staying smooth for reholstering. A red fiber optic front sight pairs with a fixed black rear for a high-contrast sight picture. Two 7-round magazines are included.

Uses standard 1911 .45 ACP magazines and accepts standard 1911 grips with the Bobtail cut applied. The recessed slide stop and flush barrel with recessed crown reduce snag points for daily carry.

The entire pistol — frame, slide, and barrel — is built from stainless steel with a matte finish, delivering corrosion resistance ideal for everyday carry. Laminate wood grips add a classic aesthetic.
