Manufacturing of Faxon barrels begins and ends in their Cincinnati, Ohio facility under ISO 9001/9100 quality certifications. Each barrel they produce is fully stress relieved, air-gauge tested, and 11-degree target crowned to ensure superior accuracy.
Crafted from the best materials, either certified 4150 MIL-SPEC steel or 416R stainless, each barrel undergoes rigorous quality controls before QPQ finishing and final inspection. Once finished, each barrel is examined for proper headspace using precision custom hardened gauges.

7.62x39 Tack Driver

Purchased this barrel along with the Faxon BCG for a build using a Lead Star Upper and Lower from the PSA Group. Upper was lapped to ensure proper seating. The AR platform is far superior than any AK out there.
Overall good But?

My first Faxon barrel. I got this 16” barrel sitting in a BRS47 receiver set. PA customer service is fast and accurate and great prices as always. With just a single stage BCM trigger, this barrel shoots tighter than any AK I’ve ever shot. The gunner profile shocked me, being that it’s skinny but accurate straight out of the box. Fit and finish was flawless. The only complaint is, no dimple for the gas block.

Faxon makes fantastic barrels.... thisnis my second 7.62x39 gunner barrel and prob not my last. Faxon makes it very clear these are not dimpled, which for me was not A huge deal (obv) because i was well aware before buying it so i wont subtract stars for human incompetence. And you can either invest 35$ into q dimpling jig or you can red locktite and use a clamp on. Last buukd eas buikd for lightweight "race" gun in this caliber i got alit of laughs until the scores were posted... no this caliber is not known for accuracy but that doesnt mean its not accurate... i had m.o.a. shooying tula @100yds but that rifle was sold thar day at the range for an offer i couldnt refuse
Where’s the dimple?

PA fast delivery and professional as always. Got the barrel for a Billet Rifle System BRS47 build. Fit and finish were good. The barrel is lighter than what I wanted(but we’ll see about the hype) and the barrel isn’t dimpled. This is the first barrel I ever bought that was not dimpled. Will post results after the range. I’ve good things about the gunner in 7.62x39.
Excellent Barrel

I bought this barrel for my first build, overall it is an excellent barrel. Right out of the box, before even having a chance to fully break it in, i was getting just over 1 MOA from bench with Hornady Black ammo . I would recommend this barrel to anyone planning on doing a 7.62x39 build.

High quality as you would expect from faxon. This barrel actually has a .308 bore and shoots .308 bullets very well. Perfect lightweight barrel for my hunting build
