The Faxon 9310 6.5 Grendel/ARC Type 2 Bolt is an AR-15 replacement bolt compatible with SAAMI-spec 6.5 Grendel, 6mm ARC, 22 ARC, and 338 ARC barrels, featuring a .136-inch Type 2 bolt face, 9310 tool steel construction, MPI inspection, and salt bath nitride finish.

Four quality standards define this bolt's reliability. 9310 tool steel is fully heat-treated and shot-peened to MIL-SPEC before Magnetic Particle Inspection verifies material integrity — confirming no internal defects were introduced during manufacturing before the bolt leaves the factory. Salt bath nitride increases surface hardness, reduces friction, and provides superior corrosion resistance compared to phosphate finishes, improving cleaning ease and extending service life under high-volume shooting conditions.
